The Corporation believes in achieving organisational excellence through Human Resource to fulfil the organisational goal. The Corporation has introduced a well defined system for in order to identify the training needs of all employees at various levels to upgrade their skills and knowledge. The information regarding training needs is derived by conducting ' training needs survey ' among the employees. Based on the training need analysis, in-house training programmes and also programmes conducted by external agencies are organised periodically. To expand and widen the behavioural attributes of employees at the Operative levels, training programmes are organised in collaboration with various external training agencies.

Employees Development Centre
Employees Development Centre is located on the Meharuli Gurgaon Road near Ghitorni village. Initially set up to enable the Management to restructure its workforce by training and re-training members of the work force in the alternative technical trades and multi-skilling the existing members of the workforce, the EDC in course of time has graduated itself to provide training to external agencies also. The Centre has full time qualified and experienced instructors for most of the trades. Instructors for the other trades are drawn from the H.R Pool of the Corporation as and when required. The Centre is fully equipped for practical training and also arranges on the job training for the trainees at its projects in Delhi and outside.
Employees Development Centre offers full time courses in the following trades:
Carpentry
Masonry
Plumbing
Internal Wiring, repair of domestic appliances and motor winding.
Auto Electrician
Barbending
Welding
Painting
Duration of the course ranges from six months to one year after which a trade test is conducted. Those who pass the trade tests are required to undergo on the job training (apprenticeship) for one year after which a second trade test is conducted. Those who pass the trade test are offered the post commensurating with the trades training they have undergone.
Training is as per inhouse developed syllabus.
EDC also undertakes short term training for the unemployed youth sponsored by the National Federation of Labour Co-operatives and has been training persons in various trades.
EDC is capable of designing programmes on its own and imparts training in its own premises and at the premises of the client organizations as per their specific needs. The design and delivery including duration of training is shaped in consultation with the client organization. The charges are negotiable and reasonable.
