Overseas Operations
NBCC ventured into foreign market in the year 1977 and has executed many diversified projects
over the years in the countries such as Mauritius, Nepal, Maldives, Libya, Iraq, Yemen,
Turkey & Botswana. Brief details of Country- wise operation are as follows:
IRAQ
NBCC set its foot in Iraq in the year 1977. The proven performance track record of the Corporation earned it a number of important projects at various places in Iraq which NBCC completed successfully. Major projects completed in Iraq include:
Baghdad Shutait Sewerage Project
Water Treatment Plant at Kirkuk
Baghdad University
Two Flyovers at Baghdad
Brine Storage Tanks at Kirkuk
Hotel Ninevah Oberoi at Mosul
Hotel Ashur Doken at Doken
Baghdad- al-Qaim-Akshat-Railway Project at Baghdad
Further Participation of NBCC in the development of Iraq was blocked due to UN Sanctions that came in the wake of Gulf War.
LIBYA
In spite of many difficulties and hindrances in Libya, NBCC took up a number of development oriented projects in that country and
implemented them with great efficiency. The Corporation also received high appreciations from its esteemed clients in Libya for quality execution
of their various projects. Some of the major projects completed by the Corporation in Libya include:
Runway and Terminal building at Ghat and Brak Airport
1000 Houses at Beniwalid and 432 houses at Ghat
120 - Bed hospital at Ghat
Public Buildings at Ghat & Beniwalid
School Buildings
Public Social Security Institute Buildings
Roads etc.

NEPAL
Under the Indo-Nepal Cooperation programme, NBCC participated in various project construction activities in Nepal. Among the projects implemented by the Corporation, the noted ones are :
Completion of Bir Hospital (Nepal) in a RECORD PERIOD of 16 Months, 20 months, ahead of SCHEDULE
Exhibition Pavilion at Bhirkuti Mandap at Kathmandu
Construction of Museum and Library buildings at Hetauda
48 km Kohalpur Mahakali Highway Project
Construction of B.P.Koirala Institute of Health & Science,Kathmandu
REPUBLIC OF YEMEN
NBCC's development oriented operations in the Yemen Arab Republic include construction of 774 housing units of Dawran, Dhamar.Inspite of extremely difficult working conditions, the work was completed to the entire satisfaction of its Clients. NBCC also executed a project - Recreation Centre at Taiz for Abu-Dhabi Fund.
REPUBLIC OF MALDIVES
The Corporation successfully completed on turnkey basis, the prestigious project of construction, furnishing and equipping 200 bedded Indira Gandhi Memorial Medical Hospital at Male. The cost of this project, approved by the Government of India, is US $ 20 Million.
Named after our Late Prime Minister, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, this medical complex, a gift by the Government of India to the Maldivian people, is a referral hospital with an optimum blend of ambulatory, intermediate, acute and intensive care, diagnostic, therapeutic facilities etc.
and provides comprehensive and integrated health services to the Maldivian people and foreign tourists.
MAURITIUS
NBCC successfully executed projects in Mauritius and these are Indira Gandhi Centre for Indian Culture, Phoenix; Senior Secondary School at Bel Air and Canal Project of C.W.A. These projects were secured by NBCC against stiff international competition. The Corporation has executed the Chinmaya Mission Project at Mauritius.
TURKEY
Project Management Consultancy is always a strong area for NBCC. Justifying this fact, the Corporation entered Turkey when it was selected as Project Management Consultant for 3600 housing units at Meer Project in Turkey valuing USD 68 Million against stiff international competition. The Project was funded by the World Bank and NBCC completed the project within a record period of 8 months.
BOTSWANA
NBCC secured its first construction project - Central Kaliahari & Kutse Game Reserve Project in Botswana in the year 2003 . Valued at Rs. 20 crore, the project was successfully completed in the year 2005. The Corporation bagged the second project - Construction of Rural Police Station & Housing at Kachikau, Botswana in October 2005. Valuing at Rs.40 crore, which is under Progress.
