Vigilance
The Vigilance Division of NBCC Limited is headed by the Chief Vigilance Officer. He is assisted by Vigilance Officers having Technical background and other Personnel & Administrative staff at Corporate Office.
Vigilance Division undertakes inquiry into transaction in which employee is suspected or alleged to have acted for an improper, corrupt purpose or causes. Such an inquiry or investigation to be made against any complaint of corruption, gross negligence, misconduct, recklessness, lack of integrity or other kinds of mal-practices or misdemeanors on his part. The Division tenders appropriate advice to the concerned disciplinary authorities in all such matters.
With an ultimate aim of eradicating corruption amongst the employees of the Corporation, a four pronged strategy, as under, is followed :-
(i) Preventive Vigilance
(ii) Detective Vigilance & Surveillance
(iii) Punitive Vigilance
(iv) Use of IT innovations to curb mal-practices
It is being insisted that transactions of the Corporation are made more and more transparent which will go a long way in eradicating corruption. the provisions of RTI Act are to be adhered to in its spirit.
Officers and employees are also encourged to directly access the site of CVC for updating themselves regarding vigilance matters.
